Overview
“Cookies” are small pieces of data a site can ask your browser to store. We also use browser local storage, a similar but separate mechanism, for a few features on this site. This page lists everything Emailnator itself stores, plus what the third-party services we rely on (ads, analytics, security) store on their own.
What Emailnator stores directly
Emailnator does not set any first-party cookies. Instead, a few features use your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Theme preference: whether you're viewing the site in light or dark mode.
- 10 Minute Mail state: the address and expiry time of your current self-destructing inbox, so refreshing the page doesn't lose it.
- Cookie notice acknowledgment: a flag so we don't show the cookie notice banner again once you've dismissed it.
Cookies set by third-party services
Emailnator is free to use because it's supported by advertising, and a few third-party services help run and protect the site. When their scripts load, they may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies, independent of Emailnator:
- Google AdSense: serves the ads on this site and may set cookies for ad delivery and measurement. See Google's ad cookie policy.
- Google Tag Manager: loads the other scripts on this page. It doesn't set cookies on its own, but it can load scripts that do.
- Google Funding Choices: the consent banner that records your cookie/ad preferences and applies them across Google's services on this site.
- BuySellAds: an additional ad network used on this site. See buysellads.com for their policy.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies may cause ads to load less relevantly or the site's consent banner to reappear, but it won't affect the core generator or inbox features, since those don't rely on cookies at all.

We'll update this page if the cookies or local storage we use change. Check back occasionally if you want to stay current.
